Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2/23/2026
Echo ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our website and the Echo browser extension.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in. When you sign in with Google or X (Twitter), we receive your email address and basic profile information (e.g. name, profile picture) from those providers. We use this solely to identify your account and provide the service.
Extension usage. When you use the Echo extension, we may store your preferences (e.g. reply style, custom prompt, reply count) locally in your browser or, when you are signed in, on our servers so they can sync across devices. We do not read, store, or transmit your private messages, DMs, or any content you do not explicitly ask Echo to process.
Content processed for suggestions. When you request reply suggestions, we (or our partners) process only the specific post or content you have selected (e.g. the visible tweet text and public context). This is used only to generate suggestions and is not stored for longer than necessary to deliver the feature.
How the extension uses your logged-in credentials for backend requests
When you sign in on the Echo website (e.g. with Google or X), we create a secure session linked to your account. If the Echo extension needs to call our backend (for example to sync your preferences, to use Echo's own AI reply API, or to check your subscription for paid features), it will do so in one of the following ways, as applicable:
- Same account linkage: The extension may use a secure token or session that is tied to the same account you used to sign in on the website. This allows our servers to recognize your requests as coming from you without re-asking for your password.
- Stored tokens: Where technically required, the extension may store a limited, secure token (e.g. an access or refresh token) in local or synced storage so it can authenticate backend requests. Such tokens are scoped only to what is needed for the service (e.g. preferences, API usage) and are handled in line with this privacy policy.
- No sharing with third parties: Your logged-in credentials or tokens are used only to authenticate requests to Echo's own backend (or explicitly authorized partners, e.g. for AI). We do not send your credentials to unrelated third parties.
Backend requests are made only when necessary to provide the feature you are using (e.g. syncing settings, fetching AI suggestions). You can revoke the connection by signing out on the Echo website or by disconnecting Echo from your Google or X account settings.
How we use your information
We use your account information to provide sign-in, to link your extension usage to your account, and to enforce subscription or usage limits where applicable. Preferences are used to personalize reply suggestions. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our service, train models (where applicable), or analyze usage patterns. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We use Google and X for authentication; their privacy policies apply to the data they provide to us. If you make a payment, we use Stripe or other payment processors; their policies apply to payment data. Our hosting, analytics, and AI providers may process data on our behalf under strict agreements. We do not allow them to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.
Data retention and security
We retain your account and preference data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service or comply with law. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data; no system is completely secure, and you provide data at your own risk.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email provided on the Echo website (Support). You can also revoke sign-in by disconnecting Echo in your Google or X account settings.

Terms of Service
Last updated: 2/23/2026
By accessing the Echo website or installing or using the Echo browser extension, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and account
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction to consent to use of the service) and not prohibited from using the service under applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and any linked session or token secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or for other reasons we deem necessary.
Use of the service
You may use Echo only in compliance with applicable laws and the terms and policies of the platforms it supports (e.g. X, LinkedIn, Reddit). You may not use Echo to spam, harass, impersonate others, distribute malware, or violate anyone's rights. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse our systems or the extension in a way that could harm the service or other users.
Extension and backend
The Echo extension may communicate with our backend when you are signed in, for example to sync preferences, to obtain AI-generated suggestions via our API, or to verify your subscription. By using the extension and signing in, you consent to such authenticated requests as described in our Privacy Policy. You may stop such communication by signing out or uninstalling the extension.
Paid features and subscription
If we offer paid plans (e.g. Pro, Growth), additional payment and subscription terms apply. Payment is due in advance. Use of paid features is subject to those terms and to our Refunds & Cancellation policy. Refunds are not offered except as required by law (see Refunds section).
Disclaimer of warranties
Echo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unsuitable; you are solely responsible for reviewing and for what you post or submit. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Echo and its affiliates, directors, employees, and providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred United States dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Echo operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

Refunds & cancellation
Last updated: 2/23/2026
Echo is currently free on X (Twitter). If we introduce paid plans (e.g. Pro, Growth, or other subscriptions), the following refund and cancellation policy applies.
No refunds policy
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any paid subscription, one-time purchase, or other payment made for Echo services, except where required by applicable law (for example, in certain jurisdictions you may have a statutory right to a refund within a specified period). By purchasing or subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to a refund for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Change of mind or no longer wanting the service
- Partial use or non-use of the service during the billing period
- Dissatisfaction with the service or its features
- Technical issues on your device or network, unless caused by a material failure on our side that we acknowledge
- Account suspension or termination for breach of our Terms of Service
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under the laws of your jurisdiction, you may contact us at admin@echopilot.xyz with your request and the legal basis. We will review such requests in good faith but are not obligated to grant refunds beyond what is legally required.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or billing settings on the Echo website (or via the payment provider if applicable). Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. Until that date, you will retain access to the paid features. After the period ends, you will not be charged again and your access to paid features will cease. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current or any prior period.
Free trial (if offered)
If we offer a free trial, we may require a payment method to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged when the trial converts to a paid subscription. No refunds will be given for the first charge after a free trial unless required by law.

For cancellation or any billing-related question (including statutory refund requests), contact us at admin@echopilot.xyz or via the Support link on the Echo website.
